Amid the ongoing tension between Shiv Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over seat distribution issue, Union Home Minister and BJP President Amit Shah will visit Mumbai on September 22. It is expected that Shah is visiting the financial capital to resolve the seat-sharing issue.

The BJP is trying to make the abrogation of article 370 as an election issue in Maharashtra and it is likely that Shah will deliver a speech on the same ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in the state. The speculations suggest that Shah will also meet Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.

BJP national president Shah will speak at the NESCO campus of suburban Goregaon (East) at an event organized by the party's Mumbai unit. Leaders of both parties are making different statements about how many seats BJP and Shiv Sena will contest in the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.
