A 12-year-old young student on Tuesday died while dancing in a dance competition - CM Chashak - organised by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Corporator Kamlesh Yadav at Mahila Aadhar Bhavan in Kandivali. The locals have expressed their anger against the corporator.
Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam on Wednesday visited the residence of the late student and appealed to the police to investigate on the matter.
In the event organised by Yadav, Anisha Sharma died during her dance performance on the stage. She was rushed to the hospital immediately after she fell from the stage. However, the young girl could not survive.

The locals have alleged that the children had to wait for almost four hours before their performance. However, the BJP corporator has labelled the death of the young girl as an accident. Further investigation will be carried out once the postmortem report arrives.
