Kalyan: NCP shows confidence in first time-contender, veteran social worker Babaji Balaram Patil

Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2019, here's all you need to know about NCP's candidate from the Kalyan constituency


Babaji (Dada) Balaram Patil is a veteran social worker from Thane district’s Moti Desai village. This Lok Sabha election, he will contest elections for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) from the Kalyan constituency. 

Political Career

Currently, Patil is the Thane District Central Co-Op Bank Ltd.’s Director. Earlier, he was elected as the Corporator after receiving a surprising majority while contesting for the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) elections in 2017.

First-Time Contender for Lok Sabha

Meanwhile, Babaji Patil will be contesting for the Lok Sabha elections for the first time in 2019. As per the affidavit submitted by Patil, currently, he has one criminal case filed against him.


Babaji Balaram Patil has education up to Standard X and had received his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Thane’s Saraswati Vidya Mandir in 1982.
