Konkani food fests to woo voters?

Mumbai - The city voter hailing from the Konkan is getting wooed vigorously by all political parties.
While the Konkani manoos has always been inclined a bit more towards the Shiv Sena and the MNS in recent years, the Congress too appears to have jumped into the fray. And what better way to woo the voter than through the stomach? The party organised a Konkani food festival in Vile Parle recently. This was followed by similar fests in Charkop,  Bhandup, Jogeshwari, Girgaon and other places too. Out of 227 wards in the city, 85 wards have a strong presence of those hailing from the Konkan. If food can help turn the votes, the Congress seems to be playing its cards right.
