Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena leader, refuting rumours of the Maha Vikas Aghadi being in trouble, stated that the government will last for 5 years.

This comes after Sharad Pawar, NCP President, slammed Parth Pawar, over his demand for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput further calling it immature.

Meanwhile, Raut, while speaking to the media asserted that there is no threat to the coalition government as of now. He added that the bridges built by the previous government have collapsed, therefore, the opposition should not give the ruling party any advice or comments in order to create a rift. Raut further stated that the Uddhav Thackeray government has the support of 170 MLAs. Therefore, there is no doubt in the minds of the leaders that this government will run for 5 years under the leadership of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, as explained by Raut.

A few days ago, Parth Pawar, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, had echoed the BJP’s demand for a probe by the CBI into the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rajput, who was found dead on June 14 in his suburban house in Bandra, has been a topic of contention amongst several people, with the governments of Bihar and Maharashtra playing a tug of war over the case.

When the NCP stalwart Pawar was asked about the decision of his grandson in giving an upper hand to the BJP by demanding for a CBI probe, Sharad Pawar bluntly stated that his grandnephew is ‘immature’ and therefore, he would not like to give much importance to what he says. However, he said that if anyone wants the case to be investigated by the CBI he would not oppose it, although he added that he has full faith in the government of Maharashtra and the Mumbai Police’s competency with regards to the handling of the case.
