Devendra Fadnavis wins from Nagpur South West constituency

Devendra Fadnavis is the second youngest chief minister of Maharashtra and represents the Nagpur South West constituency. He has won the seat defeating his closest competitor Dr. Ashish Deshmukh.by 49,482 votes.

Polling for the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha polls took place on October 21 (Monday) and the counting of votes started at 8 am for all the 288 Assembly segments and is completely underway. A total of 3,239 candidates are contesting from the 288 seats in Maharashtra.

Thanking the people of Maharashtra, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis says that they have been given a clear mandate by the public. "There are no doubts that our government will again come to power," Fadnavis says. 

Devendra Fadnavis thanked the people of Maharashtra for giving a clear mandate. He went on to add, "There is no doubt that our government will again come to power". He also claimed that 15 rebel leaders are in touch him and this number may go up. This admission came shortly after Uddhav Thackeray urged BJP to honour their 50:50 sharing formula.
