It has been four years today since Yoga Day has been internationally recognised. On the occasion of the fourth International Yoga Day, various events have been organised across the country.
In Maharashtra, from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to Union Ministers including Education Minister Prakash Javadedkar, celebrated Yoga day by performing the same. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu was also present at the event along with the BMC top office bearers.

While speaking at the Nimit Yoga Day in BKC, CM Fadnvais thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognising Yoga at an international platform and said, “Yoga is good for health.”
Earlier in 2014, United Nations recognised India’s demand for International Yoga Day and since 2015, the yoga day is celebrated on June 21 every year.
