CM Uddhav Thackeray inaugurates Mira Bhyandar, Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate

Congratulating the team, Chief Minister stated that the police in Mira Bhyandar and Vasai-Virar areas should be able to solve their problems in an efficient and friendly manner.

The state government of Maharashtra, on Thursday, October 1, 2020, inaugurated the Mira Bhayander, Vasai Virar Police Commissionerate, via an online event. While addressing the viewers, he said that there was a big difference between the terror of the police and the terror of the goons, and asked the officials to take strict action against any kind of hooliganism which is witnessed in Mira Bhayandar. He added that there should be a sense of panic among the people to break the law.

The Mira-Bhayander, Vasai-Virar Commissionerate of Police has a total of 13 police stations - six in Mira Bhayander and seven in Vasai-Virar. Apart from this, there will be two new police stations in Mira-Bhayander, Kharigaon and Kashigaon and five new police stations in Vasai-Virar namely Pelhar, Achole, Mandvi, Boling and Naigaon. These will have five DCPs and there will be one zone in Mira Bhayander and two zones in Vasai-Virar.

CM also said that the city which is adjacent to Mumbai has expanded in the course of time, and the population has also increased significantly, with more than 50-lakh people residing in these areas. Considering this, there was a constant demand for an independent police Commissionerate, and the same has been met on after thorough consideration. With this, the police should be able to solve their problems in an efficient and friendly manner.

Sharing some more thoughts, he said, "I'm very proud that an independent Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate has been established under our administration, and it is fortunate to have a virtuous, dutiful and dedicated Commissioner. A few things are in progress and will be completed soon, however, the government assures that it will firmly stand by your side."

Officials also confirmed that the state government is offer assistance when in need, and others present at the occasion also congratulated everyone on the inception of this Commissionerate, by stating that the Mira-Bhayandar should be remembered for public safety and well-being across the state and the country.
