After the state cabinet expansion, Maharashtra Congress President Ashok Chavan criticised the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena government for their attempts to hide the corruption committed by its ministers in last four and half years.

Chavan asserted that the government was facing trouble due to the corruption allegations against Prakash Mehta and other leaders. “Despite Lokayukta and court’s order to prosecute the ministers for corruption allegations, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis remains silent on the issue,” said Chavan.

Chavan further said that rather than prosecuting Prakash Mehta and others CM Fadnavis removed them from the cabinet. However, despite any efforts, the Maharashtra government cannot hide the corruption.
