Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday announced that the Maharashtra government will launch fever clinics in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19.

During his address on social media, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also urged the ex-servicemen who have worked in the medical division of the Army to come forward and serve in these times of crisis.

Thackeray appealed those who have experience and training in nursing to help the government in this fight against the coronavirus and write to covidyoddha@gmail.com.

“Those ex-servicemen who have worked in the medical division of the Army and those who have experience in nursing to come forward. Maharashtra requires your help. Write to covidyoddha@gmail.com," Maharastra CM said.

Thackeray informed that the fever clinics will be operational in three different facilities - for mild to serious symptoms. Those who have symptoms of COVID-19 can visit these fever clinics instead of regular hospitals. “This will provide ease to the people,” Thackeray said while adding the clinics will be various cities and wards.

The Chief Minister also appealed the stay at home and be aware of their eating habits."You must be bored at sitting home. I don't intend to put any restrictions on your eating habits but be aware of what you eat," Thackeray said while stating that there is no other option but to stay home in order to beat the coronavirus.

“We will win this war against coronavirus, but we have to prepare for the economic crisis ahead,” Thackeray stated.

Speaking on the state-sponsored ‘Shiv Bhojan Thali’, CM Uddhav Thackeray informed that the Maharashtra government was providing 15 lakh meals on a daily basis to everyone including the migrant workers.

“Maharashtra Government is providing 15 lakh meals on a daily basis through Shiv Bhojan Thali which is available for all including the migrant workers. If more people require it, I will increase the number,” the Chief Minister said during his address.

Moreover, those who don’t have ration card can also avail Shiv Bhojan Thali scheme. The Maharashtra government has slashed the price of state-sponsored Thali to ₹5.
