Officials have asked the department to expedite the same and also hold regular meetings between the people's representatives on the project route, MMRDA, and the officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), as it would ensure smooth and speedy work of the project.

Officials at the review meeting specifically discussed the rehabilitation of people and discussions were held to understand ways to rehabilitate them in the same area without affecting their daily lives. Solutions are being sought to facilitate the same and the ways to expedite this will be discussed in another meeting scheduled next week.

Meanwhile, the proposal to remove 1,004 trees for the Mumbai Trans Harbor Link project has been approved by the BMC's Tree Authority Committee, and this approval has helped the official remove the obstacle in the work thereby paving way for the completion of the project at the earliest. As per the proposed plan, the project is 22 km long, and a bridge will be constructed over Thane creek, due to which, the journey to Sewri, Navi Mumbai Airport, JNPT, Raigad, and Pune can now be completed in the shortest possible time.
