Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray recently said that a Shiv Sainik will become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra one day while fuelling speculations regarding Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray being projected as the chief ministerial candidate for assembly elections in Maharashtra scheduled on October 21.

In a interview to Shiv Sena mouthpiece - ‘Saamana’, Uddhav Thackeray mentioned that he made a promise to (his father) Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray that a Shiv Sainik will become Maharashtra CM while stating that the party is working towards the same and “it doesn’t matter if anyone agrees or not”.

Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray earlier filed his nomination from Worli constituency to contest in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. Thackeray will be the first one in his family to indulge in the election process.

While talking about his son, Uddhav Thackeray said that Aaditya started his politics and social work at a very young age and has much more to learn now.

From legislative assembly to the legislative council, Aditya needs to learn more. Shiv Sainiks and youth have high expectations from Aditya,” said Uddhav Thackeray.
