Maharashtra Governor removes red beacon from his vehicle

Maharashtra Governor Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao removed the red beacon from his vehicle after the Union Cabinets decision that beacon light will be removed from vehicles of all VVIPS across the country from May 1.

Welcoming the Centres decision, Rao said now all dignitaries will travel in their vehicles like a common man. Present with him were Secretary Venugopal Reddy and Manager Vasant Salunke.


The driver of Governor, Mohan Singh Bisht removed the beacon from the car.
