While threatening to leave the party, senior Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam lashed out at party's Mumbai unit President Milind Deora saying that he is a 'nikamma' (useless).

Accusing Deora of 'destroying the Congress party', Nirupam said that Milind Deora conspired to remove him and is destroying the party now.

Milind Deora is a nikamma (useless). That man conspired to remove me from Mumbai Congress President post and he has destroyed the party in last five months," said Nirupam. 

According to media reports, Sanjay Nirupam further alleged that Deora has failed to find good candidates for the assembly elections as he is not aware of the people issues. 

Earlier, Nirupam took to Twitter to express he disappoint against Congress for ignoring his recommendation for a candidate in the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra. 

The senior Congress leader, who was replaced by Deora as party's Mumbai unit President stated that he has been tolerating humiliation for five months.

As this happens, the tussle between Mumbai Congress leaders widens ahead of the Maharashtra assembly polls which are scheduled on October 21.
