Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections which will be held this month, the political parties are majorly focusing on campaigning for the candidates contesting in LS polls. Star campaigners from the ruling party to the opposition have started campaigning for the candidates.

In a new development, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress alliance has named Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray as their star campaigner, while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named Actor Vivek Oberoi among 40-star campaigners for the Lok Sabha, assembly polls in Gujarat.

This happened after Congress denied to include MNS in the alliance for Lok Sabha. After MNS clarified that it won’t contest in Lok Sabha elections and will focus on upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, Raj Thackeray said that he will continue his campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP.

With Thackeray campaigning for NCP-Congress alliance, it will help in the revival of MNS in Maharashtra. Moreover, Thackeray standing against Shiv Sena and BJP alliance in the state will split the Marathi votes.

In Maharashtra, Thackeray may campaign for Sushil Kumar Shinde, Supriya Sule, Sameer Bhujbal, and Parth Pawar.
