After the star entry of Actress Urmila Matondkar in Congress, the party nominated her to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai North constituency. In good spirit, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) General Secretary Shalini Thackeray wished Matondkar good luck for the upcoming LS polls.
While praising Urmila for her success and struggle in the film industry as an actress, Thackeray in her Facebook post expressed joy over Urmila's decision to indulge in active politics.
We are glad to have a sensitive personality like you participating in this election. I hope that you will help solve the problems of women,” wrote Shalini Thackeray.

Earlier, MNS had clarified to not contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in April next month. However, MNC chief Raj Thackeray declared that he will continue to campaign against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
