A delegation of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leaders is set to meet state relief and rehabilitation officials on Thursday. While keeping in mind the ongoing drought situation in Maharashtra, the MNS delegation plan to provide the officials with a list of instant measures that can be carried out in order to address the drought situation in the state.

MNS leader Jayprakash Baviskar informed that the many parts of the state are majorly affected by the drought. The list includes three immediate considerations that can be carried out in order to prevent the loss from the severe ongoing drought conditions including providing of drinking water, fodder for animals, and employment for the people, informed Baviskar.

The MNS leader further informed that people in the villages are walking several kilometres in order to gather the drinking water. MNS demands the government to provide water tankers in such areas. Along with this, the government should employ the people in the drought-hit areas to stop the migration.
