Amid the ongoing relief operations in flood-affected areas in Maharashtra, Mumbai Congress on Monday contributed to the same and flagged off a truck full of relief material. Along with former Mumbai Congress President Milind Deora, top Mumbai Congress leaders including Eknath Gaikwad and Mohammad Arif Naseem Khan were also present on this occasion.
Deora said that instead politicising the issue, everyone should come together to contribute to the relief work in the flood-affected areas of Kolhapur and Sangli in Maharashtra.
Mumbai Congress is sending relief goods including food grains, medicines and other useful materials for school students and people affected by floods in Kolhapur and Sangli,” said Milind Deora.
More than 60 people have died due to the flooding crisis in the districts in western Maharashtra including Kolhapur, Sangli and Solapur.
