A few days ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the leaders from major parties will file their nomination on Monday in Mumbai. The process to file the nomination was initiated on April 2 and the last date for the same is April 9. 

In Mumbai, the elections for six Lok Sabha seats will be held on April 29. BJP MP Gopal Shetty, who is contesting from Mumbai North constituency, and Congress leader Poonam Mahajan – contesting from Mumbai North Central - had filed their nominations before. 

With only two days left for filing the nomination, most of the candidates from major political parties will file the same on Monday itself. Meanwhile, the candidates will perform road shows in their constituencies. 

Shiv Sena candidates Arvind Sawant and Rahul Shewale who are contesting Lok Sabha polls from Mumbai South and South Central, respectively, will file their nomination today at Mumbai Collector office. 

BJP candidate Manoj Kotak will also file his nomination to contest from Mumbai North East LS constituency. While Shiv Sena leader Gajanan Kirtikar will file his nomination on Tuesday.

Congress candidates including Eknath Gaikwad, Milind Deora, Urmila Matondkar, Sanjay Nirupam, and Priya Dutt will also file their nomination today.
