Nana Ambole appointed as city BJP vice-president

The BJP city unit has got a new vice-president in the form of Nana Ambole who had joined the party just ahead of the BMC elections.

Nana Ambole was offered the membership of BEST management committee but he had expressed a wish to work for the party instead of getting that post. Hence, Ambole has now been inducted in the city BJP unit as vice-president.

Ambole, former Shiv Sena corporator and former chairman of BEST committee, had deserted his party to join the BJP ahead of 2017 BMC polls. The BJP had given a ticket to Ambole’s wife from Lalbaug ward but she got defeated at the hands of Sena candidate Sindhutai Masurkar.

City BJP president Ashish Shelar announced the appointment of Ambole on Friday and exerted confidence that Ambole will contribute in spreading the roots of the party.
