Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Rohit Pawar, grand-nephew of Sharad Pawar, attacked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis for his remarks that Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is ineffective in handling the COVID-19 situation in the state.

“Devendra Fadnavis ji, keeping the blame-game aside, the issues you have raised are important. The MVA government and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray are working on the same. However, being an opposition leader, you should interact with the Chief Minister instead of complaining to the Governor frequently,” the official handle of Rohit Pawar tweeted while taking a dig at Devendra Fadnavis.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday attacked the Uddhav Thackeray government in Maharashtra for its “ineffective handling” of the coronavirus outbreak.

A delegation led by Fadnavis, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and submitted a memorandum to highlight the alarming situation in Maharashtra due to the negligence of MVA government in handling COVID-19 crisis. It also warned of statewide agitation against the MVA government.

“The state government has completely failed on several fronts. There is the issue of massive neglect of migrant workers and farmers in Maharashtra are facing various troubles. There is a complete collapse of the health system,” former Maharashtra CM tweeted in Marathi while alleging that the MVA government was hiding COVID-19 patients data and was not following the protocol for deaths related to the virus.

Devendra Fadnavis also attacked NCP supremo Sharad Pawar over his letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the economic package. Reacting to this, Rohit Pawar said that the opposition leader shouldn’t worry about the letters and should self-introspect.

“On the question of letters by Sharad Pawar saheb, his letters have always been a source of guidance. It would be better for the state if you (Fadnavis) self-introspect and not worry about the letters,” Rohit Pawar said.
