NCP to fight BMC polls on its own: Ahir

Nariman Point – The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has decided to fight forthcoming municipal corporation elections on its own, informed party’s city president Sachin Ahir. A grand conclave of the party workers has been organised here on Sunday, 20 November. The party will kick off its poll campaign in this meeting in the presence of party president Sharad Pawar. The NCP was ready to fight BMC elections in alliance with the Congress party but Congress has not given it a positive response. The NCP has distributed nomination forms to 437 candidates, he informed.
