Maharashtra State Gram Panchayat elections were held recently and with just a few hours to go before the final results, former Chief Minister and BJP leader, Devendra Fadnavis, has claimed that the BJP is the number one party in the state.
Besides this, he also stated that the voters have chosen BJP even after the three parties came together. However, their failure would be due to strong dislike in the minds of the people who have been against the Maha Vikas Aghadi's (MVA) rule.
Speaking to the media, Devendra Fadnavis shared that people across the state, be it in Vidarbha, Marathwada, North Maharashtra, Konkan or Western Maharashtra, have given their full support to BJP. Moreover, BJP has won all the seats in many gram panchayats. Criticising the MVA, he said that even after the union of three parties, the BJP has continued to be the number one party in the state, and this shows the anger of the people against the MVA government.
Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress had shared seats and fielded candidates in their respective constituencies, and though they have succeeded in that place, BJP has succeeded in the whole of Maharashtra, which is why BJP is doing better than these three parties, claimed Fadnavis.
Complementing the leaders, he added that this was because of the hard work of the party functionaries and workers who contributed at the grassroots level, and BJP has been able to achieve these results. He claimed that this shows how much BJP has expanded in the whole state today, and this success achieved by BJP even though it is not in power is being celebrated.
