Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to flag off Vande Bharat from CSMT. Two Vande Bharat Expresses have been cleared between CSMT-Sai Nagar Shirdi and Solapur-CSMT. Modi will arrive in Mumbai for a community event. 

Owing to Vande Bharat Express, the journey from Mumbai to Solapur will be of just six and a half hours. At present, Siddheshwar Express takes eight hours to cover the distance from Mumbai to Solapur. Also CSMT-Sai Nagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express will also travel for five hours and 55 minutes.

Vande Bharat is being built at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. These coaches will be equipped with a GPS based audio visual passenger information system. Each 'Vande Bharat Express' has 16 AC coaches. So the passenger capacity of one train is 1,128.

CSMT-Sai Nagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week (except on Thursdays) with a travel time of 5 hours and 55 minutes. It will depart from CSMT at 6:30 PM and will arrive at Shirdi at 12:00 PM. This train will stop at Dadar, Thane, and Nashik Road.

Meanwhile, Solapur-CSMT Vande Bharat Express will run six days a week except Wednesday. It will depart from Solapur at 6:50 AM and will reach CSMT at 12:35 PM. It will halt at Dadar, Thane, Lonavala, Pune, Kurduvadi.
