Dadar - Ambekdar followers  are thronging Chaitya Bhoomi in Dadar in large numbers since Wednesday morning to pay their tributes to the father of the Indian Constitution,  Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Today is the 60th Mahaparinirvan Diwas, marking the 60th death anniversary of the man who is almost revered as a deity by the country's downtrodden.

Among those who visited Chaitya Bhoomi this morning were chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, state education minister Vinod Tawde, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant. Fadnavis, in his speech, said that the construction of the Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mills is in full swing and would be a place of inspiration to people once completed. He also pointed out that Ambedkar, a trained economist, had penned his thoughts on the problems plaguing Indian currency and the solutions thereof, back in 1927.
