Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections, the Shiv Sena are waging war against its ally by announcing that they will fight the elections alone. On the other hand, Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh Chief Prakash Ambedkar on Wednesday announced that the progressive parties will contest the elections under the banner of ‘Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’ (Deprived Bahujan Alliance).

While speaking at the press conference in Pune, Ambedkar also said that he, and his party, are willing to fight elections along with Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). With a goal to share power with the deprived and minority sections, Ambedkar has decided to fight elections along with the progressive parties and has assured that each party in the alliance shall have two candidates for the upcoming polls in 2019. He expressed confidence over the same.
