As per a latest update, the Mumbai police arrested one more person today, April 13, in connection with a protest outside NCP chief Sharad Pawar's residence last week. With this, a total of 115 people have been held so far. Of which, 109 have been sent to 14-day judicial custody.

The accused has been identified as Chandrakant Suryavanshi, who is a Pune-based journalist with a YouTube channel, said police official.

Reports further stated that a team from Mumbai's Gamdevi police station took him into custody from Pune and brought him here. He was being questioned.

In addition, a team of Satara Police reached Mumbai to take custody of accused lawyer Gunaratna Sadavarte later in the day.

Currently, Sadavarte is under Mumbai Police's custody and would be produced in the Girgaon court. Satara Police is likely to take Gunratna Sadavarte into custody.

While interacting with the media on Tuesday, April 12, Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil remarked that the protest march undertaken by certain Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) staffers to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar’s residence was an attack.

Praising the courage of the NCP chief for attending the event in Amaravati even after an alleged attack at his residence recently on Friday, the Congress leader Yashomati Thakur on Monday praised Pawar and said that his courage must be appreciated. She also said that Maharashtra government's image would have been different if he had been made the Chief Minister of the state.
