Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to embark on a new outreach initiative called the Bharat Nyay Yatra. This initiative follows his previous Bharat Jodo Yatra. The yatra is scheduled to start on January 14 and conclude in Mumbai on March 20. The announcement was made by Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K. C. Venugopal.

The decision for the yatra was made unanimously by the Congress Working Committee on December 21. Rahul Gandhi agreed to carry out the requests.

The Bharat Nyay Yatra will span over 65 days, covering a distance of 6,200 miles. The journey will pass through 14 states and 85 districts. The states include Assam, Manipur, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Meghalaya, and Maharashtra.

During the yatra, Rahul Gandhi will engage with women, youth, and marginalised groups. Unlike the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Bharat Nyay Yatra will be conducted on a bus, with a portion of the journey on foot.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will inaugurate the East-West Yatra on January 14 in Imphal, the capital of Manipur. The yatra will aim to interact with youth, women, and marginalised people, reflecting its motto, "Sabke liye nyay chahiye."

The Bharat Nyay Yatra follows the 4500-kilometre, 150-day Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began in Kanyakumari on September 6, last year. The Bharat Nyay Yatra will be Rahul Gandhi's second outreach initiative before the election.
