MNS president Raj Thackeray took a dig at the State Election Commission following its press conference announcing elections for 246 Municipal Councils and 42 Nagar Panchayats on December 2.
Referring to them as a puppet, Thackeray wrote in his X post that he is 100% convinced that the Election Commission’s “independence” exists only on paper. He also mentioned that he is furious with the press conference.
“If the Election Commission cannot or does not wish to answer a single question about issues like duplicate voter registrations and the many errors in the voter list, then what is its purpose? You have already shrugged off responsibility, and now you refuse to be held accountable, so what’s the point of your positions anymore?
In his X post, he urged people to watch the clip, mentioning how the SEC is insulting the voters. He also congratulated the journalists for asking sharp questions to the Election Commission during the press conference.
