On one hand, where people are getting aggressive over the Maratha reservation issue, state revenue minister Chandrakant Patil made a statement saying that many people are being paid to participate in Maratha reservation agitation.

While addressing the media, Patil said that until now, the agitation was going normal but now many of them are deliberately ruining it by igniting violence.

These people want to spread hatred in Maharashtra. The final decision on the Maratha reservation will be decided by the Bombay High Court. Despite knowing this, they are becoming violent. If you think (protestors) that vandalising ministers' vehicles, will get you a reservation, then go ahead. But, don't forget that this action will affect the common man," said Chandrakant Patil.

Patil added that the state government is ready for talks provided real protestors who belong to Maratha Kranti Morcha committee come ahead and discuss.
