The Shambhu Sena held an agitation at Azad Maidan on Wednesday, in protest of BJP MLA Prashant Paricharak's recent derogatory remarks against army wives.
Reports say that the BJP MLA spoke in condescending and derogatory terms about defence personnel's wives at a recent event in Pandharpur in Maharashtra. The Shambhu Sena has demanded that Paricharak should be suspended from the state assembly and should be taken into police custody.
The Shambhu Sena has also threatened to blacken Paricharak's face if the Devendra Fadnavis led government does not initiate any action against him soon. The Sena president Dr Yuvaraj Kadam has threatened to extend the agitation throughout the state if Paricharak is not suspended with immediate effect.
