Maharashtra Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Chandrakant Patil has attacked Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray saying that it is Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar who is running the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government and not the Shiv Sena chief.

While speaking to reporters, Patil said that one should meet Pawar to talk about any issue instead of CM Thackeray. His remarks come after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Thursday met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari over the issue of inflated electricity bills.

The Governor reportedly advised the MNS chief to meet Pawar regarding the issue. The tussle between Governor Koshyari and Uddhav Thackeray is not unknown. Recently, Koshyari wrote a political letter to Thackeray on the issue of reopening religious places in Maharashtra and mocked him for turning ‘secular’.

“I am not aware of what governor said but if you ask me, I would say that Sharad Pawar is the one who is running the state,” Patil said while adding that there was no use in meeting CM Thackeray.

“Sharad Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis are accessible, so people think what is the need to meet the chief minister,” he asserted while adding that one should meet Pawar if there is an issue which needs to be resolved because Uddhav Thackeray doesn’t travel outside.

Patil also claimed that he hasn’t received a single reply from the Chief Minister despite writing several letters. Earlier, Fadnavis also said that he has written over 100 letters to Thackeray on the matters of public interest but failed to receive a reply.
