In an attempt to reinstate the aesthetics and historic feel of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, the Shiv Sena MLA Anil Parab, has written to GVK demanding to restore the statue of Shivaji Maharaj at the earliest.
Earlier, the statue was removed from its pedestal and had been sent to the warehouse of the Sahar Road for the expansion of the Mumbai airport.
Hence, given that the expansion work of the airport has been drawn to a finish, the statue needs to be set at its place so that the spot reflects the rich history of Shivaji Maharaj.
