After the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the dates for Bihar assembly elections, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik attacked those who criticised Mumbai and Maharashtra while raising the issue of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death as a prelude to the upcoming polls in Bihar.

The result of Bihar elections, Sushant Singh Rajput death case and the report from Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) will be released on November 10, Sarnaik tauntingly said.

“The results of the Bihar elections, the results of the Sushant Singh Rajput case and the NCB report will be released on November 10. There is also the election in America and the vaccine for covid. But then the love for Mumbai will blossom. Until then, the individuals and actors who will be accused should be prepared to face investigation,” the Shiv Sena MLA tweeted in Marathi.

This comes after the Election Commission announced that the Bihar assembly polls will be held in three phases on October 28, November 3 and 7 amid the coronavirus outbreak. Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora said that the results will be announced on November 10.

The opposition parties including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have tried to corner the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. The Mumbai Police have also been accused of negligence in the SSR death case probe.

The Bihar Police also got indulged in the investigation after Sushant’s family registered an FIR in Patna. As a result, the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Meanwhile, Gupteshwar Pandey has taken early retirement from his post as the Bihar DGP and is likely to contest in the upcoming elections.

Reacting to this, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut accused Pandey of running a political agenda against Maharashtra and said that he was being rewarded for it. He had said that people will not believe the party which makes him a candidate in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections.
