Ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, Shiv Sena had earlier kicked off its election campaign – 'Jan Ashirwad Yatra' – under the leadership of Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray.

However, in order to encourage female voters, Shiv Sena has decided to organise a new program – 'Pratham Ti'. From September 9 to 11, 20 Shiv Sena women leaders in 25 districts of Maharashtra will rally in different parts of the state under this campaign.

In the first phase, the rallies and public meetings will be organised in Parbhani, Nanded, Solapur, Aurangabad and Osmanabad district. This indicates that Shiv Sena is in full swing to highlight the presence of Aditya Thackeray in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.

Since its first campaign under Aditya Thackeray, Shiv Sena is trying to strengthen the party’s roots in rural Maharashtra. Moreover, there are speculations that BJP and Shiv Sena can contest the assembly elections separately.
