Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut asserted that his party "will rule Maharashtra for 25 years". He was answering questions posed by the media and was asked the million-dollar question on whether the CM from their party will be for five years or 2.5 years. To which he replied, "Why only five years? We will rule Maharashtra for 25 years..."

On the power-sharing formula being worked out with the Sena's new allies, he said the Chief Minister will be from Shiv Sena, but the details of the CMP would be known soon.

It has been almost three weeks. since the election results were declared but there is no clarity on who will be the chief minister of Maharashtra. As the deadlock continues, President's Rule has already been implemented in the state. However, the parties continue to hold long meetings to come to a consensus.
As per unofficial indications, Sena would get the post of Chief Minister, but it is hazy whether it will be for half-term (30 months) or full term (five years), while NCP-Congress would get Deputy CM each, besides portfolios being shared at one per four legislators of each party.

It is expected that NCP President Sharad Pawar will meet in Congress President Sonia Gandhi later this week. It is also being said that Sena President Uddhav Thackeray may also meet her before a formal tie-up announcement is made.

This is not the first time that Sanjay Raut has come out with a great one-liner. Even yesterday. SanjayRaut had taken to Twitter to share, “Haar ho jaati hai jab maan liya jata hai, jeet tab hoti hai jab thaan liya jata hai (defeat is when you accept, victory happens when you are determined)”.

Sanjay Raut, who got discharged from Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday after he underwent an angioplasty, tweeted this with a caption saying: “Ab haarna aur darna mana hai...(Now, being afraid and getting defeated is not allowed)”.

These remarks from Raut came shortly after Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that Prime Minister and he had already announced in the public that Devendra Fadnavis will the Chief Minister if their alliance (BJP and Shiv Sena) wins.
