Sena to oppose hike in Stamp Paper charges: Ramdas Kadam
SHARES

The State government has taken a decision to amend the Maharashtra Stamp Paper Act to charge 5% for transfer of property in urban areas and 4% in rural areas. Ramdas Kadam, environment minister and senior Shiv Sena leader has opposed this decision and threatened that his party would launch an agitation against this decision.

Kadam further said that the Shiv Sena delegation would meet chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday to press for the withdrawal of this decision. If the government fails to withdraw its decision then Sena would hit the streets for agitation, he warned.

The Sena minister has also said that his party would oppose the government decision to charge 3% for gift deeds. With this new issue, the BJP is likely to face further trouble from the ruling alliance partner.
