The student wing of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Tuesday evening protested against the left-wing organisation in Mira-Bhayandar while accusing them of instigating violence in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). 

In the protest against left organisations including Students’ Federation of India (SFI), All India Students’ Association (AISA), almost 150 ABVP activists participated near Mira Road railway station. 

The ABVP demanded action against those who created ruckus in JNU and attacked students. In the protest, ABVP leaders including Kumari Prerna Pawar, Sarjayrao Dholtade and Sadhana Yadav were present. 

Along with this, Mira-Bhayandar District President Sumde Sawant, Aditya Dubey, Ajinkye Gajre also raised slogans against the left organisation holding them responsible for the violence in JNU. 

The students and youth were protesting at Gateway of India for 35 hours straight against attack on JNU students until they were “relocated” by Mumbai police to Azad Maidan on Tuesday morning. 

On Sunday night, groups of masked men entered the JNU campus in Delhi and attacked the students and professors present there with sticks and rods while damaging the property in the university premises.

Nearly 28 students were ‘badly’ injured in the attack including Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh.
