After being criticised by the opposition party, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that his party wants to know the reason behind the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Raut also ruled out any political interference in the Mumbai Police’s investigation of SSR death case.
“He (Sushant Singh Rajput) is also like our son and we want to know the reason behind his death,” Raut said while assuring that there is no political interference in the SSR death case being probed by the Mumbai Police.
Earlier, Raut was being targeted for making claims about the relation between Sushant Singh Rajput and his family. The Shiv Sena MP, in ‘Saamana’, had said that the late actor was not in good terms with his family due to the second marriage of his father KK Singh.
These claims were refuted by Neeraj Kumar Bablu, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Bihar and cousin of Sushant Singh Rajput. Bablu demanded a public apology from Raut over his remarks and sent him a legal notice.
Now, Raut has been receiving criticism from the people after he said that the family of Sushant Singh Rajput should remain calm and show some patience as Mumbai Police investigates. This was not taken well by several people who accused Raut of threatening SSR’s family.
“We have full sympathy for Sushant Singh Rajput’s family. I had said that they should show some patience. I didn’t threaten them. He is also like our son. He lived in Mumbai and we want his family to get justice,” Raut said.
He further taunted that those not satisfied with the Mumbai Police’s investigation, go to CBI or bring in KGB and Mossad.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale criticised Mumbai Police over its handling of Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He said that Mumbai Police has only recorded statements after 40 days but nothing has come out of it.
