Shiv Sena (UBT) on Monday, October 6, declared that despite accepting the complexities of state politics, the alliance's main goal is to overthrow a "dictatorial regime" at the Centre, amid tensions with the INDIA bloc—the opposition coalition, according to a media reports.

The Sena (UBT) said that the impending assembly votes in five states this month will act as a "dress rehearsal" for the important Lok Sabha elections next year in an editorial published in the party's publication, Saamana. The editorial noted that the Congress is a major player in all five poll-bound states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram so its performance in these state elections is crucial.

The agency report stated that the Congress party must prevail in these polls in order to stop the abuse of authority and the conceit of money. Sena UBT in its publication Saamana said that they are confident that the alliance will win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This will be crucial for the INDIA alliance. It declared its conviction that the INDIA alliance will prevail in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in the Marathi Daily.

The 'Saamana' conceded to the worries raised by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who said that the INDIA coalition's momentum was being hampered by the Congress's focus on the upcoming five assembly elections. It also advised the Bihar CM not to air the complaints in public since doing so would be seen as beneficial to the Bharatiya Janata Party. The editorial also mentioned that Nitish Kumar has a pivotal role in the formation of the coalition including 28 opposition parties to oppose the BJP.

After Nitish Kumar expressed his concerns, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge spoke with the Bihar CM. Kharge assured Kumar that his party would resume discussions on the INDIA block strategy after the assembly polls conclude in the five states.

Everyone is in agreement that the INDIA coalition was established with the goal of overthrowing the ruthless Central government. Major political parties must make judgments based on the fact that state politics differ from federal politics, the editorial stated.

Recent disputes between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, allies of the INDIA bloc, emerged from the inability to come to an agreement on seat-sharing for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, which are set for November 17.
