The repercussions of the action against Amritpal Singh in Punjab are being seen in the country as well as abroad. Two days ago, Khalistani supporters insulted the Indian national flag outside the Indian High Commissioner's office. Meanwhile, the Thackeray group has targeted the Modi government over this. When India has got a Prime Minister with a 56 inch chest, how dare the extremists lower the tricolor? Such criticism has been made in Thackeray group’s editorial piece Saamana.

What exactly did the Thackeray group say?

“Prime Minister Modi is the guru of blind devotees, we don't want to say anything about it, but the blind devotees do not see that the national sentiments of our country are being trampled all over the world. As action began in Punjab against Amritpal Singh, the new 'Bhindranwale' of the Khalistan movement, it reverberated in London. Khalistani supporters attacked the Indian High Commission in London and pulled down the tricolor. It is shocking that terrorists should have the courage to lower their tricolor like this when India has a Prime Minister with a 56-inch chest”, reacted the Thackeray group.

“…So this is not an insult to the country?”

Speaking further, he also targeted the BJP on the criticism of Rahul Gandhi's speech. “There is currently a controversy raging in our country. At the center of that debate is Rahul Gandhi's speech in London. Democracy in India is under threat, Gandhi said in London. The BJP is saying that this is treason. Then in the same London, the Khalistanists broke into the Indian High Commissioner's office, lowered the tricolor and put on chaos , isn't it an insult to the country? What have you done except just protest and curse?” he asked.

"This is not a good sign for the country's stability"

"Democracy and freedom in the country is under threat and you as the government have fallen to him to protect our tricolour. Millions sacrificed to unfurl the Union Jack and hoist the tricolour of England. This is the result of power passing into the hands of people who had no contribution to make in that sacrifice. The spectre of Khalistan movement is rearing its head again and the Sikh youth is being provoked. This is not a good sign for the stability of the country", he also criticised the BJP government at the Centre.

Amritpal Singh is ISI’s henchman

"Pakistan's moves are on to keep unrest in Punjab. Like Kashmir, Punjab is a bit more explosive and sensitive, but the 'surgical strike' politics that is practised in the case of Kashmir, does not happen in the case of Punjab. Because BJP cannot create Hindu-Muslim political controversy here. Today, Punjab is once again in turmoil and Pakistan and China are behind it. Amritpal Singh is working as a henchman of Pakistani ISI", he added.
