It is the highest priority of the government that the common citizens of the state should get quality health facilities and the government is focusing on strengthening the network of health systems. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured that the necessary funds will be provided for the construction of facilities for resident doctors in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. The Chief Minister appreciated the hospital administration for the 'Chitthi Mukt Ghati' initiative.
Chief Minister Shinde visited the Government Medical College and Hospital (Ghati) at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Tuesday and inspected the intensive care hospital and interacted with the doctors. Chief Minister Shinde said that all doctors play the role of troublemakers for common people. Ever since our government came two and a half years ago, we have been making decisions keeping the common man at the centre. In the field of health too, we have taken decisions keeping the common man at the centre.

An initiative has been taken to provide good health facilities to the common citizens of the state. Our emphasis is on strengthening the health system network. It has been decided to give a revised salary of INR 5000 per month to the senior resident doctors of the Government Medical Colleges and a substantial increase in the tuition fees of the internship students of the Medical Colleges.
At present, intensive care services such as urology, neurosurgery, cardiology, plastic surgery, etc. have been started in the building of the intensive care hospital. The Chief Minister said that poor patients coming from a total of 14 districts including Marathwada, Buldhana, Washim, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Dhule, Ahmednagar are benefiting from this service.
Ghati Hospital is benefiting lakhs of patients in Marathwada. When the college was started, the student capacity was only 50 and the number of beds was 300. Now the student capacity has increased to 200. A State Cancer Institute is also functioning under the Government Medical College. He also said that necessary funds will be provided for the superspeciality surgical hospital.
As soon as the Chief Minister's Aid Fund letter is received, funds are given to the needy immediately and in two years, INR350 crores have been given to the needy patients in the state. The limit of Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana has been increased from one and a half lakh to five lakh. Everyone in the state has been included in this scheme. The Chief Minister said that the government is making all-out efforts to make our state more advanced in health care and will meet the demands of the doctors promptly.
