Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lashed out at Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut amid the political blame game over the killings of two sadhus in Bulandshahr. CM Yogi asked the senior Shiv Sena leader to not worry about UP and handle Maharashtra.

In a series of tweet, Yogi Adityanath slammed Raut saying that he had called up Uddhav Thackeray because the Sadhus killed in Palghar belong to Nirmohi Akhada while asking Raut to think who was playing politics.

“Mr Sanjay Raut, expressing concern over the brutal killing of saints is politics for you? The UP CM called Uddhav Thackeray because the Sadhus killed in Palghar belonged to Nirmohi Akhada. Think, who is playing politics?” the official handle of Yogi Adityanath office tweeted.

“The Law and order prevail in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of UP CM Yogi Adityanath. We deal in a strict manner with those who break the law. The accused was arrested in connection with the Bulandshahr killing and quick action was taken. You handle Maharashtra, don’t worry about UP,” the tweet read.

Earlier, while condemning the murder of two priests in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had appealed that the incident should not be communalised the way it was done over the Palghar mob lynching in Maharashtra.

“It is an appeal to all to not politicise the issue like Palghar incident. The country is battling with the coronavirus. Stay calm. Yogi Adityanath will take strict action against the accused,” Sanjay Raut tweeted in Marathi.

On Tuesday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also called up Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on the phone and expressed his concern over the “inhuman” killings of two sadhus in Bulandshahr.

“The way we have taken strict action against the accused in similar incidents, we hope that you (Yogi Adityanath) will also take action against the accused. However, I appeal that no one should give such incidents a communal colour,” Uddhav Thackeray said.

However, the remarks made by Yogi Adityanath slamming Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut came a day after the Maharashtra CM expressed his concerns over the killing of two sadhus in Bulandshahr.
