In an official statement, VBA announced that they will hold interviews for candidates interested to contest upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections under the organisation's banner. The interview will be carried out between August 19 to 21

Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Dr. Prakash Ambedkar-led Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) has decided to conduct interviews for aspiring candidates for the upcoming polls. The interview will be carried out between August 19 to 21 in districts including Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. 

VBA gave an official statement earlier stating that it will conduct interviews of the interested candidates who wish to contest the upcoming polls under the organisation's banner. 

The VBA's parliamentary committee members including Annarao Patil, Ashok Sonone, Rekha Thakur and Kisan Chavan will interview the interested candidates from Mumbai on August 19, followed by aspirants from Thane on August 20 and the rest will be interviewed on August 21 at Ambedkar Bhavan, in Dadar.

The state assembly polls are scheduled in mid-October and VBA has not announced the number of seats it is going to contest in the upcoming elections. The Maharashtra assembly elections will be contested on 288 seats.
