Shiv Sena announces its candidates for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor

Shiv Sena is all set to present Professor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar as its candidate for the prestigious post of Mayor.

It is said that Shiv Sena was in ambiguous situation for the selection of the name for the Mayor, till Friday.  Ashish Chemburkar was their choice then Satamkar’s name was heard and then Pro. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar’s name was finalized.

According to the sources, it was decided that Former Mayor Vishaka Raut will be again be Mayor and Satamkar will be given the president post of the Standing Committee.

Pro. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar retains his membership for the continous three times of the Municipal Corporation. Once Mahadeshwar was barred as the Corporator due to the invalid caste ceretificate.

Mahadeshwar has also served as the president for the Education Department. It is said that Anil Parab and MP Sanjay Raut have recommended Mahadeshwar’s name for the prestigious chair of Mayor.
For the post of Deputy Mayor Hemangi Worlikar’s name is been taken.

Along with Mahadeshwar , Hemangi Wolrikar has also filed the nomination form on Saturday.
