Amid the uncertainty over the political future of CM Uddhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA), one of the MLAs from the Shinde camp, Shiv Sena rebellion Deepak Kesarkar, stated that they will all go back to Maharashtra after reaching a major decision in the next couple of days.

“One to two more MLAs will come and join us. With their support and other independents, our strength will be increased to 51. We will arrive at a decision in 3-4 days & thereafter, we will directly go back to Maharashtra,” Shiv Sena MLA Deepak Kesarkar was quoted as saying by ANI.

These statements came after one more party legislator joined the Eknath Shinde camp in Guwahati, taking the tally of Shiv Sena MLAs to 39.

While talking to reporters, he further said: “MLAs of the Shinde camp are ready to face the floor test in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly at any time, but first recognition should be given to Eknath Shinde faction. We will not go with the MVA government.”

"At this point, we are not merging with any other party as we respect (Maharashtra Chief Minister) Uddhav Thackeray. We will be setting up a separate block. The rebel MLAs won't quit the Sena but will carry on the legacy of "Balasaheb," he told reporters.

On the other hand, the BJP has distanced itself from the turmoil, stating the party has nothing to do with the ongoing political developments in the Shiv Sena and the state.
