Lok Lekha committee report goes against Lavasa

Mumbai – The Lok Lekha committee of State Legislature has criticised the permissions accorded to the Lavasa Project which remains in news due to alleged corruption involved in it. The committee has stated in its report that urban development department permitted this project only to benefit the developer. 

The report also stated that it was required to take permission of the state cabinet looking at its long-term repercussions. 

Gopaldas Agrawal is the chairman of this 25-member committee. The report was tabled in both the houses of the state legislature on Friday. 

The committee has also harshly criticised other such projects at five hill stations in Pune district.
