In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, along with the time of darshan, some other restrictions have also been imposed for the devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba.

With the instances of COVID-19 cases witnessing an increase across the state, the Ahmednagar District Collector has imposed a night curfew due to which the Sai Sansthan in Shirdi has announced a new time for the darshan for Sai devotees.

According to sources, along with the time of darshan, some other restrictions have also been imposed for the devotees. As per the new schedule decided by Shri Sai Baba Sansthan, in order to prevent the further spread of the contagious disease, Sai devotees will be able to take darshan from 6 am to 9 pm. After that, Sai Sansthan has decided to keep the Darshan closed for 9 hours from 9 pm to 6 am.

In addition, morning Kakad Aarti and night Shej Aarti will be closed for devotees. Moreover, Thursday Palkhi will also be closed. In addition, biometric pass counters will be kept closed on Thursday-Saturday-Sunday and festival days in order to avoid overcrowding.

Meanwhile, strict restrictions have been imposed in other parts of the country, including Amravati, to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Earlier on February 21, the state government announced a week-long complete lockdown in the Amravati district in wake of a spurt in COVID-19 cases. The announcement for the lockdown in Amravati came hours after the district administration in Pune imposed a night curfew and shut down schools and coaching centres till February 28.

Furthermore, the civic body of Mumbai, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has started sealing houses and buildings with a higher prevalence of the coronavirus further adding the basic guidelines the societies need to implement.
