Former National table tennis player makes a winning comeback after 5 years

Former National table tennis player of India, Mamta Prabhu, has made a winning comeback to the sport after 5 long years.

She defeated Shweta Parte in the first match and in the second match, she defeated 4th seeded Ashlesha Trehan on Friday in the ‘All-India Four Star Ranking Table Tennis Championship’.

This tournament is organised by Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana. Mamta is in the top-ten position, while Divya Deshpande Mahajan ranks fourth in the state.

Mamta won 11-6, 11-7, 10-12, 11-6, 11-3 against Shweta. Fourth seeded Ashlesha was defeated 7-11, 11-7, 11-13, 12-10, 11-5, 15-13 in the semi-finals.

In the other sub-junior event, Jignesh Rahatwal lost to third seeded Manav Mehta 4-2 and the latter entered the semi finals.
