After beating South Africa and Sri Lanka, the Indian team of visually impaired cricketers completed a hat trick defeating Australia by 128 runs. Opener Sunil hammered the Aussie bowlers scoring 163 of 72 balls. Mohammad Farhan was retired hurt on 53 as India scored 272/0. Indian fielding was excellent as they executed 6 run outs to bowl Australia out on 144.
In another match at the CCI, West Indies beat the New Zealand by 84 runs. Batting first, opener Kevin Douglas made 164 of just 64 balls as the West Indies scored a massive 323/2. The kiwis were well on track in their chase as opener Kevin scored 106, but lost pace in between and lost the match, as they could make only 239/3.
Though Sri Lanka lost to India yesterday, they made up for the loss by beating Nepal by 131 runs. Suranga Sampath was retired hurt after scoring a quickfire 48 balls 111 runs. Srilanka made 274/2. Nepal never looked in touch and could make only 143/5 in their 20 overs.
Earlier England beat a strong Bangladesh side by 5 wickets. Bangladesh scored 214/5 with half-centuries from Md Abdul Malek and Tanzjlur Rahman. But England got off to a flying start and reached the target in 18 overs.
India leads the points table with 18 points from 7 games with 7 wins and a loss.
